What To Do After Being Arrested Top 10 DWI Mistakes What Happens After a DWI Arrest?

Driving While License Suspended or Invalid

Certain moving traffic violations and arrests, such as a DWI, can result in the suspension of a person's drivers' license. In fact, as soon as a person is pulled over and arrested for a suspected DWI or DWI with injury, law enforcement officers can take their drivers' license and issue them a temporary driving permit valid for only 41 days. At that point unless proper paperwork is filed, within 15 days, to request an Administrative License Revocation (ALR) hearing and challenge the suspension, an automatic suspension will go into effect on the 41st day after the person's arrest.

For more than 15 years, The Samuelson Law Firm has been representing clients facing all types of DWI charges including license suspensions. My staff and I know how important it is to your life and livelihood that your driving privileges are protected. Even if you have been arrested for driving while your license was suspended or invalid, there are steps which can be taken to lessen the charges against you. In addition, my firm may be able to get you an occupational license in the interim so that you can go to and from work and complete other specified tasks. Time is of the essence, however, which is why I urge you to contact a Houston DWI lawyer at my firm if you have been driving with a suspended or invalid license.

The Samuelson Law Firm: Fighting for You

Having your license suspended can have a dramatic impact on your ability to do your job, support your family and live your life. While driving with a suspended license may seem like the only option available if you've had your license suspended after a DWI, there are other ways you can gain legal driving privileges without risk of being hit with additional fines, jail time, and other penalties. My staff and I are dedicated to providing clients with excellent service, whether that includes helping with driver's license restoration, representation in ALR hearing, or building an aggressive defense against DWI and other charges.

In order to provide clients with excellent service, my firm and I are available to answer questions and help clients with their legal needs 24/7. We also have referrals for almost any service a client could need, in relation to their case. I pride myself in treating every case as if it were my own. I use all resources available in order protect my clients' rights, because that is what I would expect be done on my own case. The AV® rating we received from Martindale-Hubbell® serves as recognition of my firm's professional excellence, legal ability and ethical standards. I have also become broadly recognized in the legal community as I am frequently called upon by local and regional media outlets, such as NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox to be a legal commentator for DWI related stories.
